The Mark of the Beast, Armageddon, The 1,000 Year Reign, and Premillennialism's Pitfalls - An Introduction to the Problems by Nathan Battey
The following link will take you to an old edition of The Bible Banner where a recounting of the events surrounding the Norris - Wallace debate are given. Dr. J. Frank Norris was one of the most famous preachers of his day residing over what was supposedly the largest church in the world at that time located in Ft. Worth, Texas. Norris was an outspoken Premillennialist and it was around this topic that the debate centered. Foy Wallace completely dismantled Norris' arguments in the debate and as a result Norris resorted to all types of ridiculous antics. The debate was never published because Norris unscrupulously altered the account of the events and thus Wallace and his brethren would not agree to its publication. If ever there was a thorough defeat of error it was in this debate.
One other note of interest that the reader will find in this article: The writer states "I do not know whether or not Norris had a gun, but I do know that he was mad." The reason for this statement is that eight years prior to the debate Norris had shot and killed a man in his office on the grounds that the man had threatened him. This will give you a little insight into his character. Yet despite this incident, Norris was a very popular and famous preacher among the Baptists.

P.S. If you would like a copy of Foy Wallace's account of this debate, I have a copy listed under the "debates" section of my book store. This is a rare work and hard to find.
